Auckland Martial Art Supplies

Auckland Martial Arts Supplies was founded by Rick Littlewood (8th dan Kodokan Judo - 1972 Munich Olympian) and originally situated in what was Chinatown at the upper end of Queen street in the early 1980’s.

Rick had been serving the martial arts community for well over 30+ years. In that time he also successfully established four well known and popular Japanese restaurants; Tanuki, Tanuki’s Cave and Kura Japanese Sake bar, and also Nombe (for those in the know!). Rick sadly passed away in 2018, but the store is still family owned and operated, and is managed by Jun Littlewood.
